Shoreline Center Looking For Santas For Seniors

Hearing and Seeing Is Believing: Amplified Phone With Tablet Technology Represents Innovative Holiday Gift for Seniors

Its just going to bring a little happiness to them in the holiday season. The paper ornaments include gift needs such as Stop and Shop, Dunkin Donuts or Big Y gift cards and female medium robe or deck of playing cards. Barron on Monday showed off the newly organized digs of the relocated senior center, which shares a building with other community groups and the Board of Education, as construction crews outside did preliminary excavation and work to install additional parking spaces (in spring 2014) where portable classrooms were recently removed. There is a room to watch movies, a gym where a fitness class was being held Monday morning (the room is also used for Park and Rec programs at night), a fitness room for all ages, a massage room, a place to serve food, a craft room and a social-services office. In the busy lobby is a reception desk and the Santa to a Senior tree. The senior center serves more than 400 seniors overall in town, with daily lunches on-site already doubling to 40 from the initial number of 20.
